Shantou South Railway Station, the core hub of the Shantou-Shantou Railway—a crucial transportation artery connecting eastern Guangdong with the coastal economic zone—has been in operation since December 26, 2023, acting as a driving force for regional economic integration and urban renewal. To improve the slow-traffic system around the station and create a safe and convenient green travel environment, a 50,000-square-meter colorful anti-slip greenway project at Shantou South Station utilizes the Nedis colorful anti-slip pavement system. This system uses an environmentally friendly resin-based material, combining high-wear-resistant colored clay sand with a curing agent through a composite process to create a non-slip surface that is both functional and visually appealing. It meets the safety needs of high-intensity mixed pedestrian and vehicle traffic around the railway hub, while also guiding tourists and citizens through color-coded zones for orderly passage, becoming a model of urban transportation and ecological landscape integration. Compared to traditional cement or asphalt pavements, the colorful anti-slip pavement system particularly enhances adaptability to traffic scenarios: its surface is treated with a special texture to create a microscopic anti-slip structure, significantly reducing safety hazards in wet conditions.
