Hengsheng Pharmaceutical, located in the Zhongshan National Health Base and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangdong Zhongzhi Pharmaceutical Group, a well-known pharmaceutical company in Guangdong Province, is undertaking an expansion project to build a modern Chinese medicine production base integrating intelligence and standardization. Given the stringent requirements for floor materials in Chinese medicine production—the need to withstand frequent contact with raw materials and Chinese medicine liquids, while also meeting the sterile environment and long-term durability requirements of cleanrooms—the project team ultimately chose a combination solution of Nedis water-based polyurethane mortar and epoxy self-leveling colored sand. The water-based polyurethane mortar floor, with water-based polyurethane resin and active aggregates as its core, forms a dense structure through hybridization technology. Its excellent waterproof, anti-seepage, and corrosion-resistant properties effectively resist the splashing of Chinese medicine liquids and the staining of raw materials. Coupled with its extreme temperature difference resistance, it adapts to the frequent thermal cycles of Chinese medicine decoction and cooling processes. To meet the cleaning needs of the Chinese medicine workshop, the system features a matte, anti-slip texture design to reduce the risk of slips and falls. Its Class A fire rating and low VOC emissions ensure a clean and safe production environment, complying with GMP standards and environmental protection standards in the Chinese medicine industry. In functional areas such as storage areas, the self-leveling colored sand floor achieves a seamless mirror effect and personalized color management through the innovative integration of colored sand particles and epoxy resin. Its high compressive strength and wear resistance can withstand equipment traffic and frequent cleaning, while the seamless construction process eliminates gaps that trap dirt, ensuring the cleanliness and stability of the entire Chinese medicine production chain.
