Dafen Art Museum, Shenzhen - Exhibition Hall
Dafen Art Museum, as an important cultural landmark in Shenzhen's Dafen Oil Painting Village, requires its spatial design to balance artistry and functionality. The selection of floor materials places particular emphasis on the balance between aesthetic expression and environmental performance. The project team ultimately chose the Nedis water-based floor paint system, using a low-VOC formula and artistic surface treatment to create a floor solution for the exhibition halls, public corridors, and multi-functional activity areas that combines minimalist aesthetics with practical value. Nedis water-based floor paint uses water-based epoxy resin as its base material, achieving zero-pollution construction through an environmentally friendly solvent system. Its matte or semi-gloss surface treatment presents a delicate and soft visual texture, avoiding the cold and hard feeling of traditional oil-based flooring, and reducing strong light interference through low reflectivity, providing a pure and interference-free visual background for the display of artworks. Its color system supports low-saturation custom mixing, matching the overall space's gray, white, beige, or light wood tones of the art museum. Through gradient color transitions or local texture embellishments, it harmonizes with wall art installations and lighting design, strengthening the artistic atmosphere of the space.
