Baise University Library - Reading Area
Baise University, a key undergraduate institution in Baise City, is constructing a new library. This library is not only a significant part of the campus culture but also carries the mission of inheriting knowledge and fostering innovation. To align with the library's design concept of "openness, inclusiveness, and wisdom," the project team selected the Nedis epoxy terrazzo flooring system. This system provides an environmentally friendly and highly decorative solution, creating a floor space that combines functionality and aesthetic value. The epoxy terrazzo uses solvent-free epoxy resin as a base material, incorporating natural mineral aggregates and recycled materials. Through on-site casting, grinding, and polishing, it forms a seamless, finely textured floor. In the Baise University library application, the designers used a refreshing white as the main color, complemented by gray lines and light gray particles. This design echoes the building's modern and minimalist style, while the textured particles offset the monotony of the pure color, creating a bright and natural learning and reading atmosphere. The floor decorative lines use geometric designs; the crisscrossing patterns freely extend like the branches of trees, symbolizing the educational philosophy of "cultivating people for a hundred years, starting with planting trees for ten years." This gives the space vitality and cultural depth.
